Below is the poem I’m going to use. This poem is by Robert Frost.
Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
This poem is about stopping midway through a journey and observing the beauty of your surroundings and the beauty of life. You know as you take in the scenery that you must continue on because there is still much road to be traveled before you reach your destination and can be able to sleep in your warm bed.
I see white, dark brown, silver, dark blue, green.
The mood is very calm and peaceful.
- “The sweep of easy wind and downy flake.”
- “The woods are lovely, dark and deep.”
The background will be a very thick, dark, snow-filled forest. It will be nighttime. The trees will completely cover the overhead. There will be a frozen over lake located somewhere in the design’s background. The lake will not stand out. There will be a man standing in the snow holding the horse’s harness in his hands. He will be facing the other direction so that his back side is all that is visible of him. The man’s and the horse’s footprints from the path the have been walking will be there. The man will be looking at the lake and the horse will be facing the screen. The overall tone of the image will be dark but calm. Over all of this that is going on, there will be snowflakes falling all around. The view of all this will be a moderate distance away. The horse will be partially cut off because it will be standing on the edge of the design.
Below is my inspiration for my design.
My favorite movie is Toy Story. The theme of this movie is believe in yourself and follow your dreams. The story is about a kid’s toys and the adventure they go on. Andy seems to replace his favorite toy, Woody, with a new toy, Buzz Lightyear. Woody tries to get rid of Buzz and then tries to get him back when he regrets his decision. The underlying theme of the story is adjusting to changes. Sid is a crazy kid who messes with toys. I see Buzz Lightyear standing in the spotlight and taking up most of the page standing there dominantly. Woody is standing behind Buzz trying to be noticed and Woody looks upset. The color are sad but bold. I am going to make a design that is focused on the scene where Buzz jumps off the balcony, falls, and breaks his wing. In this scene, Buzz realizes he is a toy and this is important to the plot.
This photo inspires me because it contrasts a solid metal object with a soft cloth. The light reflecting off of the metal makes the whole photo glow.
This photo inspires me because it feels fast yet it is of a calm sunflower. The combination of the two feelings create an interesting image.
This photo inspires me because it shows a hand reaching for a light and almost being able to touch it. The way the hand is almost only an outline is part of what makes this photo inspirational.
This photo inspires me because it has a feel of mystery to it because of the light in front of the kid’s face and because the face the kid is making. This photo makes me feel like watching a mysterious movie.
This photo inspires me becauseit is calm and looks peaceful. The sun shining into the room gives the photo a happy vibe and creates an overall sense of peace.
This photo inspires me because it represents hard work. This photo shows that hard work isn’t necessarily clean.
